I’ve definitely been there — standing in line at the grocery store or post office, hoping the storm will pass quickly so I can move on with my day. But sometimes, when we’re unprepared, it feels like that storm drags on forever.

I’ve often thought: what if we could make things easier for each other? What if, instead of facing it all alone, we took a moment to offer someone else an umbrella, even if it’s just a small gesture? That umbrella could be something much more than protection from the rain — it could be an act of kindness, something that doesn’t cost us anything but means the world to someone else. When you receive that kindness, you can keep it, reflect on the verse written on it, or pass it along to the next person who needs it. In a world that moves so quickly, we might just need a reminder that a little moment of care can go a long way. Because, honestly, we never know when we’ll find ourselves standing in the storm, hoping for someone to offer us the same.
